I should be there in my town.
As we all know, and if you do not know let it know that in Poland we have World Youth Day and on this occasion to Our beloved country came thousands of pilgrims from around the world.
Guests come to Poland a few days ago and get to know our beautiful country, live among us ... and, oh must be so colourful on the streets of Polish cities.
I am devastated that in my hometown, my parent`s house hosted two pilgrims and they are from a distant country that is Africa, and more precisely they are from Uganda.
Now I work as a volunteer translator, and every day I have thousands of calls from home, from which poured a wave of laughter.
I could say "Real cabaret".
Right now I present guests who so warmly welcomed me every day on the phone because terribly interested me (and my family) their names.
What is the meaning of their names, which language they come from and what route were brought to Uganda?
First, because it is an older RONALD.
We know a lot of people with this name, and most of them are Brazilian footballer, but there are also politicians, actors, astronauts, etc ...
Ronald "guide", "lord" is the Scottish name, which comes from the Scandinavian Rongvaldhr and it was transformed into a Gallic Raghnall "having the God`s power", today known as Ronald,Ronaldo, Ron, Ronnie, Ronell and could be a long exchange.
The next dear guest's name is less well known, at least to me, but how well will look for it turns out that it is very popular in the U.S. (again) among the politicians, astronauts, actors, singers and poets.
And this magical name is Kenneth.
And like the previous name Kenneth has Scottish ancestry, and took its beginning in IX century from the Gaelic language, where there were two similar names Coinneach "handsome" and Cinaed "born of fire".
Now go back to the history of British conquest, and particularly its conquests on the black land and see that Uganda became a British Crown Colony in 1905 and was it to independence in 1962.
So follow the thread to the glomerulus.
The English settled down in colonies worked, tilled the land, gave birth to their children.
And what children could be names, well, probably not African but rather English, Scottish, Welsh and Irish.
Well, mystery solved :)))
